Program Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident . Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor J1 visas.

  • Complete your application through ERAS

  • Passing score on USMLE or COMPLEX, with maximum of 2 attempts.

  • Have preferably graduated medical school within the last 2 years

Application Process

We accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The process is outlined on the ERAS website.

We require a minimum of one SLOE and three total letters of recommendation.

Interviews

You will be notified via e-mail if you are offered an interview after your complete application has been reviewed. We encourage you to schedule your interview as soon as you receive this notification by contacting our program coordinator Natasha Brocks. Interviews with faculty are scheduled on Thursdays from October through January.

Application Details

  1. Do you accept applications requiring a visa?

    • We are unable to support a visa of any type (including J1 visas). We therefore can only accept applications from US citizens or permanent residents.

  2. Is there a minimum number of SLOE’s required to apply?

    • Yes, we require at least one SLOE.

  3. Is there a minimum number of letters of recommendation (LOR’s) required to apply?

    • Yes, we require a minimum of three LOR’s (including SLOE’s).

  4. Is there a minimum USMLE or COMLEX score to be granted an interview?

    • No

  5. Is there a requirement regarding # of USMLE or COMLEX attempts?

    • We generally do not consider applications with more than 2 attempts on any single board exam.

  6. Will you accept applications from trainees with prior training?

    • Yes

  7. Do you require ECFMG certification at the time of application?

    • Applicants who will require ECFMG certification must be in good standing at the time of application and must have their ECFMG certification prior to the NRMP rank submission day.

  8. Do you require U.S. clinical experience for foreign medical graduates?

    • Yes, candidates are expected to have completed all of their medical school clinical time in the U.S. or Canada.

  9. What is your application deadline?

    • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Early application is encouraged however, as applications will be reviewed until all interview slots are filled.

Interviews

  1. When are interviews?

    • We hold interviews both in-person and virtually on Thursdays starting in October.. We start the day at 7:00 am.

  2. How long should I plan for interview day?

    • Interview days will typically wrap up around 2:00 pm. In-Person days also have scheduled evenings out with our residents. This is not required but a great way to get to know our residents.

  3. Will there be any opportunity to visit your program in-person?

    • Yes, we will be offering optional monthly evening visits/tours and social time with residents. Whether or not you are able to attend these sessions will have NO bearing on your ranking, however we do still invite you to attend if possible, as this will help you to make a more informed decision when forming your personal rank list.
