Shruti Shah, MD

Hi! My name is Shruti Shah, and I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona before heading to Tucson for both my undergraduate and medical education. I’m thrilled to be returning home as part of the Abrazo Emergency Medicine Residency Program!

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology (Justice emphasis), which sparked my passion for social emergency medicine, including health equity, social determinants of health, and physician advocacy. 

During residency, I hope to continue exploring the intersection of emergency medicine and advocacy while contributing to initiatives that promote equitable care. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, caring for my ever-growing collection of plants, discovering new spots around the city, and finding creative outlets wherever and whenever I can.
