Kiranmai Jasti, DO
I was born and raised in India, where I completed my Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degrees in Biotechnology. My journey toward medicine is profoundly personal and began during my undergraduate years when I witnessed firsthand how doctors saved my mother’s life after an accident. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in medicine, but at the time, I could not follow my dream and continued on my established path in biotechnology.
After moving to the United States, I worked as a Research Specialist. I later transitioned to a remote position in IT as a Technical Support Specialist to support my growing family. Following the birth of my daughter, I reevaluated my career and realized it was time to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a physician.
To make this dream a reality, I dedicated three years to building a competitive application. This involved retaking required courses as a postgraduate student, working as an Emergency Medicine (EM) scribe, and volunteering at a hospital and a hospice clinic. I was accepted into the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained my medical degree in 2025.
Now, as an EM Resident at Abrazo Health Network, I am living my dream. After completing my residency, I plan to remain in Phoenix and continue serving the local community.
In my free time, I cherish spending quality time with my wonderful husband, who is my steadfast support system, and our two lovely children.
