Dr. Matt Kamer was born in Honolulu, HI but grew up in the Phoenix area - the West Valley to be more precise. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Colorado Denver before moving to Milwaukee to obtain his Doctorate of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Matt returned home to the Phoenix area for his residency training as part of the inaugural class of the Abrazo Health Network EM program. His interests within medicine include teaching medical students and residents, medical toxicology, and critical care. Outside of the ER, Matt is a Phoenix Suns fanatic, golf enthusiast, husband to his high school sweetheart, and father to his dog Charlie.
