Dävin Liimakka, DO
I was drawn to emergency medicine for its demand for rapid mental problem-solving, procedural finesse, and the ability to care for anyone, anytime. After completing two years of general surgery residency, I transitioned into EM as a PGY-1 in Las Vegas—a shift that felt like the perfect fit but little did I know my travels would land me back in Phoenix at Abrazo where I originally completed my undergraduate and all for the best. Outside of medicine, I’m passionate about electronics and tech: I build custom PCs and keyboards, and enjoy soldering and coding projects. My wife got me into physical fitness, which has become a favorite part of my routine, along with playing basketball and FPS games. Most importantly, I value the relationships I share with family and friends.
